ECEAT and Bartogai
The SUSTOUKA project is funded by the European Union under the SWITCH-Asia program and promotes “green” financing in the tourism sector of Kazakhstan.
Consider the relevance of the project in terms of the fact that one of its partners in the project SUSTOUKA – European Center for Ecological and Agricultural Tourism ECEAT. This Center has developed a certification system Travelife, which contributes to the sustainability of tourism.
In little Kyrgyzstan, 20 tour operator companies have received Travelife certification, while in Kazakhstan, only 1 has received it.
Kyrgyzstan is trying very hard to develop tourism, because it has much less mineral resources than Kazakhstan, which needs to realize its potential in this area. After all, there are so many beautiful places! One of them has fantastic scenery – Bartogai Reservoir in Almaty region.
