On February 17 in Astana, KTA took part in the conference “Plastnet-2023. Rational management of plastic waste: from prevention to effective recycling”.
Rashida Rashidovna Shaikenova, Director of KTA, made a presentation on “Development of eco-responsibility of society through sustainable tourism” at the conference.
Also, during the conference, a memorandum of cooperation between KTA and PF “Center for Sustainable Development” was signed.
KTA is a co-founder of the SUSTOUKA project.
The SUSTOUKA project is an international consortium led by EKOTEK (Spain) together with the Kazakhstan Tourism Association (KTA), the Kazakhstan Association of Hotels and Restaurants (KAGiR) and ECEAT (Netherlands).
The SUSTOUKA project is funded by the European Union under the SWITCH-Asia program. It promotes green financing and ecologization in the tourism sector of Kazakhstan
