The 5-day training process for national experts in the international SUSTOUKA project was intense. The capacity building program in sustainable management of the tourism sector involved high-level trainers.
One of them was Lyuterovich Oleg Grigorievich – guide-methodologist, honored worker of tourism of the RK, candidate of pedagogical sciences, senior teacher of tourism and service department of Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism. Media reports that he is a member of the golden fund of national science, has a Diploma of the winner of the international exhibition, the owner of the prize for the best educational and methodical publication in the industry “The Almaty Guide”.
His presentation at the seminar informed about what methods can be used to “Catering for tourists on motorways” to meet the highest environmental standards.
Since the disciplines he teaches are: “Excursion Management”, “Features of Excursions on Various Themes”, “Infrastructure of Tourism”, “Alternative Types of Tourism”. “Philosophy of Hospitality.”
Oleg Lutherovich devoted half of the school day to a master class on conducting a tour of Almaty and a section of the Greater Almaty Gorge. As a result, a group of seminarians from other cities in our country, Latvia and the Netherlands, had a wonderful opportunity to tour the history of Kazakhstan thanks to the memorial on Republic Square and to enjoy the beauty of our mountains by visiting the Ayusai Visitor Center.
The SUSTOUKA is implemented by an international consortium led by EKOTEK (Spain) and composed of Kazakhstan Tourist Association (KTA), Kazakhstan Association of Hotels & Restaurants (KAGiR) and ECEAT (The Netherlands). The project is funded by the EU through the SWITCH-Asia Programme.
