Last week, in cooperation with its European colleagues in the SUSTOUKA project, completed an unprecedented series of trainings in Almaty, Saty, Turkestan, and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Turkestan is the sacred center of the Turkic world. After receiving the status of the regional center and fabulous reconstruction, it has gained an additional chance to become a tourist hub of the world level. The opening of the International University of Tourism and Hospitality in this city testifies to the aspiration for such a goal. That is why it is no coincidence that its teacher, Dariga Meiramovna Khamitova, speaks with gratitude about the SUSTOUKA project training “Involvement of small and medium-sized tourism companies in the development of tourism products». This training event in Turkestan on November 21-22 was led by an excellent expert from the EU Juris Smalinskis.
The SUSTOUKA project is funded by the European Union under the SWITCH-Asia Programme and promotes green financing in Kazakhstan’s tourism sector.
