The spring of this year presented a wonderful event – the opening of the Visit Center in the famous Charyn Canyon. It was opened according to the project of development of sustainable ecotourism in the national parks of Kazakhstan.
The visit centre has information about the national park, its sights, flora and fauna, safe hiking routes and other important data that we can provide you.
The following facilities are available at the Sharyn Visitor Center: viewing area, recreation area, information desk, cafe, souvenir shop and toilets. The Center also offer equipment rental services and a selection of class excursions or activities with a guide or instructor such as quests, retreats, gastrotours, art picnics and others.
Employees of Charyn National Park participated in seminars of the SUSTOUKA project.
The SUSTOUKA project is funded by the European Union under the SWITCH-Asia program. It promotes green financing and ecologization in the tourism sector of Kazakhstan.
The SUSTOUKA project is an international consortium led by EKOTEK (Spain) together with the Kazakhstan Tourism Association (KTA), the Kazakhstan Association of Hotels and Restaurants (KAGiR) and ECEAT (Netherlands).
