Is sustainable tourism a new species or is it still a tool for a responsible tourism business?
How to make sustainability the philosophy of market players? Why do we need to move towards sustainable development? Because this trend of the 21st century covers all spheres of human activity, from economics to the humanities. How to increase the number of people – players in the tourism market who could and wanted to bring ideas, knowledge about sustainable development and consumption to the market?
We found such enthusiastic people who are passionate about sustainable development issues and met with them at the platform organized by KTA and KAGIR, where we discuss the above issues, listen to experts, get acquainted with practical cases. The KTA and KAGIR team hopes that the 25 participants of the week-long training will become real and convinced national experts in sustainable development and consumption.
The SUSTOUKA is implemented by an international consortium led by EKOTEK (Spain) and composed of Kazakhstan Tourist Association (KTA), Kazakhstan Association of Hotels & Restaurants (KAGiR) and ECEAT (The Netherlands). The project is funded by the EU through the SWITCH-Asia Programme.
